Nigeria is a country that rightly receives a lot of attention from this House and from the other place. Members know, Nigeria is a topic that is very close to my heart. Member for Glasgow North (Patrick Grady), believes fervently in what we are saying, so I very much look forward to what he has to say as well.Īs many hon. Member for West Ham (Ms Brown), always comes to any issue with passion and belief, and I very much look forward to what she has to say and the shadow spokesperson for the Scottish National party, the hon. The shadow Minister for the Labour party, the hon. It is also nice to see the two shadow Ministers in their place. I know that she is not responsible for this issue, but she always tries to respond in a positive way and I very much look forward to her correspondence and follow-up on it. I am, as always, very pleased to see the Minister in her place. It is a real pleasure to have the opportunity to speak on this issue, and a special pleasure to see so many hon. The APPG speaks for those of all faiths, and those with no faith, in order to defend freedom of religion or belief for all, everywhere. I declare an interest as a chair of the all-party parliamentary group for international freedom of religion or belief. That this House has considered religious minorities in Nigeria.
